Nutrition Panels

Nutrition Information
Nutrition labelling is generally voluntary - it is not currently a legal requirement to include a nutrition panel unless the pack contains a specific nutritional claim. At Patak's, we aim to include a nutrition panel on all our products wherever space allows.
Typically, our nutrition panels include the “Full 8”, which are:
  • Energy value or calories
  • Protein
  • Carbohydrates
  • Sugars
  • Fat
  • Saturated fat
  • Fibre
  • Sodium
Our panels show the typical values per 100g, which allows you easy comparison of one product with another. We also show the typical values per recommended serving size - for example, per ¼ jar or per pack.

Occasionally, particularly on smaller packs, there isn't enough space for the “Full 8” nutrition panel and instead we use the “Big 4”.
  • Energy value or calories
  • Protein
  • Carbohydrates
  • Fat
This can be shown either in panel format or in list format.

For an additional guide, and in particular to help you calculate the amount of salt per portion, we usually aim to include an additional nutrition guide. Found below the nutrition panel, our “Blue box” restates the number of calories per serving along with the amount of fat, sugar and salt (which is calculated from the amount of sodium).
