Meena Pathak - Celebrates Indian Cooking with third cookbook

Meena Pathak is set to share more delicious recipes with her third cookbook, launched in May 2007.

Meena's first book, Flavours of India, won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award in 2002 for Best First Cookbook. She has also written Indian Cooking for Family and Friends. Meena's new book, co-written with her daughter, Anjali, celebrates the first 50 years of Patak's and Meena's success as an ambassador for Indian food worldwide.

Meena Pathak Celebrates Indian Cooking contains stunning photography and mouth-watering recipes, which reflect the changes in Indian cuisine since Patak's was founded in 1957.

In the book, published by New Holland, Meena introduces a range of healthy recipes, from easy to cook snacks such as Tikka Potato Wedges & Dip, to classic favourites such as Rogan Josh Lamb Shanks. There are perfect dishes for any occasion, whether it is a casual get-together, a barbecue, or a more elaborate dinner party.

Meena shares her enthusiasm and passion for Indian cuisine throughout, with stories and anecdotes, along with fascinating features giving an insight into the history of Patak's, and Indian food.

Meena said: “Over the past 50 years, social changes have affected cooking styles and culinary tastes all over the world. The modern cook has less time to spend in the kitchen and is more concerned about healthy eating.

“This book contains recipes which reflect all these changes while celebrating the traditions of classic Indian cooking.”

Meena Pathak Celebrates Indian Cooking will be available in May from all good bookshops priced at £14.99.
