New Patak's products are perfect for weeknight treats

Britain's No 1 Indian food brand has come up with a super-simple and speedy way to spice up weeknight meals, with a brand new concept - Patak's Coat & Cook.

Experimenting in the kitchen, youngest daughter Anjali Pathak developed the simple-to-use sachets of coating as a quick fix for time-starved curry fans. The new range has all the mouth-watering flavours of Patak's iconic curry pastes, but without the need to marinade.

Delicious with drumsticks, succulent on salmon, and perfect on prawns, all you need to do is coat - and cook, on the grill, in the oven, or even on the barbecue. Then simply serve with a salsa, salad or wrap for a light, healthy and stylish Indian style supper.

There are five delicious Coat & Cook flavours to choose from:

  •     Tandoori
  •     Tikka
  •     Spicy Mango
  •     Lime & Coriander
  •     Garlic & Coriander

Busy twenty-something Anjali, who has worked for the family business since she was very young, said: "My friends and I love all the traditional Indian flavours, but don't want to spend too long in the kitchen. That's why I came up with Coat & Cook. It's just so easy - literally just coat and cook. You end up with a great tasting Indian-style meal without the hassle of preparing it!"

Patak's Coat & Cook is available from all good supermarkets from July 2007. Each 80g sachet is priced at £1.39.
