Baby Corn & Paneer Jalfrezi (Makai Paneer Jalfrezi)

This is a perfect main meal if you are a vegetarian, or if you feel like a change from your usual meat based curries and is incredibly quick and easy to make.  This tangy Jalfrezi uses Paneer cheese - which is a traditional Indian cheese that is rich in protein, and doesn't melt (and most importantly is truly delicious). You can find paneer in most supermarkets, once you have tried this dish I bet you will be looking out for it more often.

Methods

  1. Cut the baby corn into halves.  Cut the paneer into cubes.
  2. In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil and add the paneer.  After 2 minutes add the Patak's Jalfrezi Cooking Sauce and the baby corn. 
  3. Heat through on a moderate heat for 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cream and garnish with the fresh coriander.
  5. Serve with simple plain basmati rice.
