Barbecue Prawns

This simple prawn dish is a ridiculously easy way to add a bit of Indian spice and flavour to your summer barbecue. The delicately balanced spices and flavours of our Korma paste gives you a delicious marinade with limited fuss - giving you more time to spend outside or with a glass of wine!

Ingredients

  • 32 extra large prawns with tail, cleaned and de-veined (800g approx.)
  • 2 tbsp Patak's Korma Paste
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 bag mixed salad leaves
  • 1 - 2 red onions, sliced
  • 8 radishes, sliced
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • fresh coriander for garnish (optional)

 

Methods

  • Place the prawns in a bowl.  Add the Patak's Korma  Paste and yogurt.  Mix well and leave to stand.
  • After 20 minutes, skewer the prawns and cook on the BBQ or grill.
  • Cook for about 5 - 10 minutes until the prawns are cooked and the tails begin to char.
  • For each serving place some mixed salad leaves on a plate, cover with the sliced onion and radishes.
  • Finally place the prawns on top (8 per serving) and garnish with fresh coriander.
