Cauliflower with Ginger (Sukhi Adraki Gobi)

This lovely, spicy side dish is an alternative way to serve up cauliflower alongside your main meal. You can have this with your curry, but it is also great alongside chicken, beef, fish or lamb. It really is just a great way to spice up the humble cauli.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 150 cauliflower florets
  • 50g onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp Patak's Garam Masala  Paste
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • a splash of the juice of the lime
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds

Methods

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and diced onion and fry for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the Patak's Garam Masala  Paste  and ginger and sauté for 3 minutes. 
  3. Add the cauliflower florets and cook covered on a low heat for 15 minutes, or until cooked.  (Sprinkle in some water if the mixture begins to stick).
  4. Add the fresh coriander and lime juice and mix well and serve.
