Lamb Kebab (Kheema Kebab)

A super tasty starter - this kebab is perfect for a summer barbeque. Marinated in our delicous Balti paste and yogurt, it is succulent, juicy and incredibly tasty.

This recipe features

Ingredients

  • 450g tender lamb cut into 1" pieces
  • 3 tbsp Patak's Balti Paste
  • 4 tbsp thick natural yogurt
  • 1 green pepper cut into large bitesize pieces
  • 1 medium onion cut into large bitesize pieces
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • 8 wooden skewers, soaked in cold water for 30 minutes

Methods

  1. Flatten the lamb slightly with a mallet.  Mix the Patak's Balti Paste, yogurt and rosemary together in a bowl. 
  2. Cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours, if you have time. 
  3. Remove the lamb from the marinade and thread onto skewers, adding the onion and green pepper pieces.
  4. Brush with the marinade and then grill or barbecue on a low to moderate heat until cooked through. This should take approximately 10 - 15 minutes.
  5. Squeeze over the lime juice and serve with a fresh mixed salad and Patak's Raita.
