Lassi - Chilled Yogurt Drink

A lassi is a traditional chilled yogurt drink that originated from the Punjab region. This is extremely simple to make, and tastes fantastic alongside your favourite curry, or as a filling snack anytime of the day.

Ingredients

  • 400g natural yogurt
  • 75g sugar or 1½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon roasted coriander seeds, crushed pistachio slivers, to garnish

Methods

Pour the yogurt into a bowl, add the sugar or salt and 200ml chilled water. Whisk well until all the sugar or salt has dissolved and all the lumps of yogurt are broken down, leaving a smooth flowing liquid.  Stir in coriander seeds and serve chilled, garnished with pistachio slivers.
