Tikka Lamb Kebabs

These succulent lamb kebabs make a great traditional starter, and are perfectly tender and full of the delectable flavours of our Tikka Paste. The paste blends the great flavours of authentic spice with tamarind and paprika, and makes a lovely mild marinade.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp Patak's Tikka Paste
  • 50 g spinach
  • 3 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 450g minced lamb
  • 1 red pepper, cut into large dices
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • pinch of black pepper
  • salt, to taste

Methods

  1. Lightly beat the egg with the Patak's Tikka  Paste, black pepper and a little salt. 
  2. Combine the spinach with the egg mixture, vegetable oil and bread crumbs.  Add the minced lamb and mix well.
  3. Shape into firm 1 inch balls and thread onto skewers with the diced pepper in between.
  4. Cook over warm coals on a BBQ or grill in a medium oven for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked through.
