Tikka Masala Barbecue Chicken Burger

Who says Indian food is just for the winter months? Banish the thought of a hot and saucy curry, just for a moment, and try these fantastic tikka chicken burgers on the BBQ (or stick them under the grill if it's raining out). They are succulent and tantalisingly tasty.

Ingredients

Serves 4 people

  • 4 small chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Patak's Tikka Masala Spice Paste
  • 4 tbsp Patak's Raita
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 burger buns
  • fresh coriander for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts with the Patak's Tikka Masala Spice Paste for 15 - 20 minutes (if you have time).
  2. Cook the chicken breasts on a BBQ or grill, basting with the olive oil, until thoroughly cooked.
  3. Grill the burger buns unti they are nice and crispy and then spread the Patak's Raita on both sides.
  4. Layer the lettuce, tomato and onion with the chicken breast on top.
  5. Garnish with the freshly chopped coriander if using.
