With seven days packed full of Indian flavour, National Curry Week runs from the 9-15th October. This is a week to celebrate Britain’s love of curry! We hope that you and your family and friends will take a bite into real India and share a curry to remember with a little help from Patak’s.

To celebrate we’ve pulled together some of our favourite dishes so you can enjoy a flavoursome feast this National Curry Week!

First up, is probably Britain’s most loved curry. Our aromatic Tikka Masala is inspired by the Punjab region of Northern India, famous for its creamy curries. This mouth-watering meal is packed with flavour from our Tikka Masala Spice Paste. It combines cumin seeds, green cardamom, bay leaf, fenugreek and dry chilli to bring a rich Tikka Masala with deep rounded flavour to your dinner table. Try it for dinner tonight, you won’t be disappointed.

It wouldn’t be a celebration without a Dal. This hearty, flavoursome and moreish dish is a staple in Indian cuisine and eaten daily in homes across India.

Our Tadka Dal, a Punjabi inspired yellow dal, is beyond simple but bursting with authentic Indian spices from our Balti Spice Paste. This dish uses the popular Indian cooking technique of tempering, where spices are fried in oil or ghee to release all of their flavour. The aroma alone is enough to make your mouth water. Try this delicious veggie dish during National Curry Week, it will warm you up on these chilly autumn evenings.

Rogan Josh is a curry classic! Our recipe for Lamb Rogan Josh with Spinach and Mushrooms takes this this curry favourite to another level. Inspired by the cuisine of Awadhi, Northern India our Rogan Josh spice paste is a tried and tested blend of paprika, fennel, cumin and black pepper. Those warming and rich flavours transform this lamb curry into a melt-in-the-mouth spectacular that’s perfect for a celebration!

Our spiced Aubergine Curry is something a little bit different. Loaded with the characteristic flavours of Kashmiri cuisine, this tangy curry has a delicious blend of tamarind, garlic and chilli from our Balti Spice Paste bursting through every bite. This succulent, spicy dish is definitely worth a try and it will satisfy meat-eaters and vegetarians alike.
