Easy Mushroom Bhaji

This is a fantastic vegetable side dish, tastes fantastic with your favourite curry. It combines traditional spices with mushrooms, tomatoes and onions. I've used our new Easy Mushroom Bhaji paste here - which provides you with the spice paste, so all you need is your own mushrooms, a can of tomatoes and an onion.

This recipe features

Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 1 sachet of Patak's Easy Mushroom Bhaji paste
  • 200g tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 300g of diced mushrooms
  • 50 mls of water
  • corinader leaf (optional)

Methods

  1. First chop and fry an onion in a little oil until soft.
  2. Stir in the Mushroom Bhaji Paste and cook for 3 mins.
  3. Next add chopped tomatoes and cook for a further 4 mins.
  4. Add 300g of diced mushrooms and 50ml of water, simmer for 8-10 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked.
  5. Serve hot with your favourite Patak's curry, garnish with a little fresh chopped coriander leaf (optional).
