Spiced Indian Burgers

A good hearty dish, these awesome burgers give a great fiery Indian twist to a British pub staple. Fresh and flavoursome, these are brilliant when cooked on the BBQ, or under your grill. Best served with chips, or a salad.

Ingredients

  • 450g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 215g unseasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • 75ml plain yogurt
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp Patak's Madras Paste
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 4 bread rolls
  • sliced onion and tomato

Methods

  1. Combine the ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, yogurt, egg, fresh coriander and Patak's Madras Paste.  Shape into 4 patties.
  2. Cook on a barbecue for 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
  3. Serve on bread rolls topped with sliced onion and tomato.
  4. Serve with Patak's Raita.
