Quick & Easy Butter Chicken

Butter Chicken (or Murgh Makhani)  is a wonderfully mild and creamy dish that is hugely popular in countries like the US, Canada, Australia and NZ - and I think set to become equally as popular here in the UK. Simply because it is so tantalisingly delicious, and incredibly indulgent, I can't imagine that it will stay in the background for much longer. This extremely easy recipe uses our Butter Chicken sauce, which is a lovely blend of cream, tomatoes, and of course butter, with spices such as fenugreek and cardamom. So all you need to do to create this tempting dish is add your meat. Of course you can add extras vegetables if you like.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium sliced, diced chicken breasts
  • 1 Jar of Patak's Butter Chicken cooking sauce.
  • Oil

Methods

  •  Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large pan.
  •  Add  chicken breasts and stir fry until meat is sealed and browned  (approx. 5 mins).
  • Pour over the jar of sauce and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Alternatively, use prawns, mixed vegetables or lamb. Adjust simmer time accordingly.
  • Best served up on a bed of basmati rice, with naan.
