Easy Gobi Saag Masala

Incorporating Saag - meaning spinach, and Gobi - meaning cauliflower, this classic Indian dish can be a great way to get the goodness of vegetables into people using our easy Saag Masala sauce. This mildly spiced dish is delicious, and all you need is cauliflower, spinach, onions and tomatoes!

Ingredients

Serves 4 people

  • 1 large onion
  • 400g diced cauliflower
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes (150g)
  • 1 large bag of spinach leaves (200g)
  • 1 jar of Patak's Saag Masala Sauce.
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

  1. First slice and fry the onion in a little oil until soft.
  2. Stir in the cauliflower and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the Patak's Saag Masala Sauce and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Next add the chopped tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Finally add the spinach leaves and cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. Season with the chopped coriander and serve hot with pappadums, lime pickle or mango chutney.
